A closer look at the journey ahead..

The Lost Village of Curdi, hidden in the serene interiors of Goa, is one of the most intriguing and lesser known stories of the region. Once a thriving settlement, Curdi now remains submerged for most of the year, revealing itself only for a brief period during the summer months. When the waters recede, the village reappears with its abandoned homes, temple ruins, and pathways, offering a rare glimpse into a past that time has almost forgotten. Let us welcome you to a truly unique Sunday experience that takes you deep into Goa’s hinterland. We begin early from Panaji and Margao, driving through scenic countryside landscapes before arriving at a cozy garden café for a relaxed breakfast and introductions. From here, we journey towards Curdi, where you will walk through the remains of this lost village, uncovering stories of displacement, heritage, and resilience. As you explore, you will come across Portuguese built roads, Tulsi Vrindavans, and the ruins of temples and chapels that once formed the heart of the community. The experience continues with a visit to Usgalimal Rock Carvings, followed by a refreshing dip in a natural freshwater stream and a taste of a seasonal urrak or feni cocktail. The day is completed with a traditional Goan lunch at a local kulaghar and a scenic drive through Chandor before heading back. Note: Transport included. The experience involves approximately 105 to 110 kilometers of travel with a short walking trail of about 1 to 1.5 kilometers.
