Soul Travelling’s Untold Stories of South Goa takes you through two villages — Rachol and Shiroda — each telling a very different part of the larger Goan story. We begin in Rachol, a village where history sits quietly in the corners waiting to be spoken. You’ll start at the weathered Rachol Fort Gate — the last standing arch of a 16th-century Portuguese fortress, tucked away but full of character. From there, we walk into the Rachol Seminary, Asia’s oldest of its kind. Still functioning, still quiet, and still echoing with the voices of a long theological past. Nearby, the Our Lady of Snows Church offers another peaceful stop — understated, but deeply rooted. Then comes the shift. A ferry across the Zuari River takes you into Shiroda, a village where the rhythm changes. You’ll visit the Kamakshi Temple, relocated during colonial times but still central to village life today. Start Time: 8:30 Am Note: This is not a walking tour. Transport is required to get to the different points covered and onboard the ferry boat.
