Set in the lush hinterlands of South Goa, this trail takes you beyond beaches and into village life, where cashew distillation is still practiced using traditional methods passed down through generations. From tasting fresh Niro straight from the source to sipping a seasonal Urrak cocktail in a plantation setting, every moment connects you to Goa’s rich spirit culture. You’ll walk through scenic natural surroundings, observe the traditional distillation process at a local still, explore a diverse plantation ecosystem, and finally unwind by the riverside with tastings of three different varieties of feni paired with local snacks and soulful storytelling. If you’ve ever wanted to understand the true essence of Goa beyond the coastline, this is your chance to experience it, authentically, seasonally, and locally. ▪ Note: From the start location to the cashew distillery, there is a 3–4 minute walk.
