The Sao Joao Festival in Aldona

Are you ready to experience Goa’s most vibrant Monsoon festival? Sao Joao is right around the corner and is all set to make a splash. This event honours Saint John the Baptist on 24th June and is a lively fusion of fun and tradition.

Although comerciality has dimmed the spark of this heritage-rich festival, Soul Travelling has strived to bring it back the Sao Joao experience in it’s realest and most genuine form, as has been loved and adored by Goans over the generations.

The village of Aldona is regarded as one of Goa's most picturesque settlements. A quaint chapel is situated in a scenic area, posing as a central location for the the entire village, which comes alive during the monsoon season.
